Treasury Confirms Full Disbursement of Capitation Funds to Public Schools

    The National Treasury has officially confirmed that it has completed the full disbursement of capitation funds to all public schools across Kenya, ahead of the second term of the 2025 academic calendar.  This announcement brings a measure of relief to school administrators and education stakeholders who have previously raised concerns over delayed or inadequate funding. According to the statement released by the Treasury, a total of Ksh 31.34 billion has been disbursed, covering both primary and secondary institutions. TSC To Commence Teachers Approved Under CPG To Acquire Automatic Promotion.
 
TSC will automatically start supporting teachers. The Teacher Support Council (TSC) has provided hope and a framework for professional development to teachers across the country by issuing automatic promotion policies.   

The aim of this move is to address long-standing concerns about the lack of development of teachers. This will be done by rewarding and recognizing their commitment.   

The Commission's latest announcement represents  another significant change to TSC's teacher salary structure.   

The new TSC policy provides for automatic promotion of all qualified teachers. As a result, the enthusiasm and morale of the society is very good.   Widespread dissatisfaction with the Commission's final decision. It increases as  the same activity continues for  longer periods of time.   

Teacher employers can rest assured that automatic promotion is now guaranteed in many job categories. There will be a salary increase according to the new TSC promotion policy.   

The board's new  plan  is to promote a  culture of effective teaching. Therefore, it will reward and support teachers.   

The Commission will use this policy within the specified period. Teachers are looking forward to it and are very happy.   

The TSC Committee also decided that automatic promotion of teachers was in line with the objectives of the Association. This will be an incentive for good and effective teaching.  The 

TSC has published a policy on teachers  TSC's new evaluation technology provides comprehensive and fair evaluation of teachers in terms of teaching hours, performance and performance.

TSC relocates secondary school principals in Murang'a.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has transferred the principals of Murang'a Secondary School ahead of the start of the second term  next  week.   Some of the  assistant principals  received promotions from the  teachers' employers.   Andrew Maina,  long-time principal  at Ichagaki Mixed Secondary School, has replaced John Mwangi at  PC Secondary School.    Maina expressed  gratitude for  leading the development of Ichagaki High School for 15  years.   “I am  leaving Ichagaki Mixed School with 660 students,  but 16 years ago I only found  66,” he  said.
